Rising Divorce Trend In Tamil Film Industry

The Tamil film industry has recently witnessed a noticeable rise in divorces among celebrities, sparking discussions within film circles and among fans.
Several high profile separations have taken place over the past few years, making the trend more visible compared to the Telugu and Hindi film industries.
Some of the prominent divorces include Dhanush and Aishwarya, Jayam Ravi and Aarti, GV Prakash and Saindhavi, D Imman and Monika, Hansika and Sohael, AR Rahman and Saira, and Kamal Haasan and Gautami.
Now, actor Vijay is also heading towards a divorce with his wife Sangeetha Sornalingam and the news is still burning.
Earlier, Bollywood was known for witnessing more celebrity divorces, largely because the industry people placed greater emphasis on personal freedom rather than cultural restraints.
However, in recent years the trend appears to have shifted toward the Tamil film industry, where several high profile separations have surfaced in a short span, making the phenomenon more noticeable now.
