IHCL launches wellness programme for International Yoga Day
Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), through its wellness brand J Wellness Circle, has introduced a series of wellness experiences to mark the International Day of Yoga. The programme will be hosted across participating hotels and is designed around key principles of yoga, focusing on mindfulness, wellbeing and holistic living.The initiative includes a range of activities beginning with Dhyana Yoga sessions, featuring traditional dhoop rituals, live flute performances and sound-healing experiences using Indian musical instruments. Guests will also be introduced to Satvik cuisine through Jnana Yoga experiences at the hotels’ all-day dining restaurants.
As part of the programme, evening activities will include sunset ceremonies with diya lighting, chants and introductory yogic practices under the Bhakti Yoga theme, aimed at promoting reflection and connection.
IHCL is also extending the initiative beyond guest experiences through Karma Yoga activities involving its associates. These include neighbourhood clean-up drives, plogging walks and tree plantation programmes focused on environmental wellbeing and community engagement.
According to the company, the programme has been developed to encourage a balanced approach to wellness by combining physical, mental and spiritual practices. The experiences are designed to promote mindfulness, self-awareness, community participation and sustainable living.
J Wellness Circle is IHCL’s wellness platform and operates across the company’s portfolio of hotels, offering a range of wellness therapies and experiences rooted in Indian traditions.
The International Day of Yoga is observed annually on June 21 and is marked globally through activities that promote physical health, mental wellbeing and mindfulness.
