Amkette XS Series Wireless Mice Long Term Review - Successfully Clubbing Afforda ...
For the longest time, the tech world has operated on a collective assumption: if you want a serious, professional-grade wireless productivity mouse, you have to spend up to Rs 15,000.
For nearly a decade, premium office setups have been dominated by the Logitech MX Master series or the Ergo Series. They became status symbols for spreadsheet wizards, software developers, and video editors. If you spent less, you were traditionally penalised with clacky plastic shells, laggy Bluetooth connections, or cheap AA batteries that died at the worst possible moment.
That said, when Amkette quietly dropped the XS Series (featuring the XS Flow and the XS Natural) late last year, they fundamentally challenged this dynamic. They essentially asked a very disruptive question - What if you could get up to 90 per cent of that flagship experience for under Rs 2,000?
The Design Philosophy: The Multi-tasker Vs The Posture Fix

The Amkette XS Series Flow wireless mouse
The Amkette XS Series isn't just one mouse with two different names; it is a fork in the road for desk workers. Amkette essentially took the two most popular premium form factors in modern office ergonomics and rebuilt them from scratch for the budget-conscious professional.

The XS Flow (and its upgraded sibling, the XS Flow Plus) targets the classic horizontal-scroll workflow. Anyone who has ever tried to edit a 4K video timeline in Premiere Pro or navigate a 50-column financial model knows the sheer frustration of holding down the shift key or dragging micro-scrollbars at the bottom of the screen.
The Flow answers this with dual metallic scroll wheels. Your index finger handles standard vertical scrolling, while your thumb rests against a beautifully machined side wheel that glides horizontally across your workspace.

What Stands Out?
The mouse has a clear indication of how many devices it can connect to, i.e., three connections via Bluetooth and one connection via the 2.4GHz dongle. That’s seamless integration, not just for work but for play as well. Forget trying to connect your mouse every time you need to switch to a different system. Just one click on the mouse, and you are good to go.
Secondly, you have battery life that will make flagship products rethink their way of doing things. I charge my mouse to a full 100 per cent and do not look at the adapter for weeks.
Features such as the Horizontal Glide control, the silent Kailh switches, and a 400 to 3200 DPI range offer a lot of wiggle room. I would have preferred ‘clicky’ buttons, though, but again, that is just a personal choice.

On the other side of the desk sits the XS Natural. The first time you look at a vertical mouse, it feels entirely wrong. It resembles a sculpted piece of modern clay art rather than a computer peripheral.
Standard mice force your hand flat against the desk, which twists your forearm bones (a motion called pronation) and pinches the carpal tunnel in your wrist over long hours. The XS Natural tilts your hand at a **57-degree angled "handshake" grip**. It looks strange, and for the first 48 hours, your muscle memory will fight it. But once your nervous system adapts, the structural relief in your forearm is immediate.

The Amkette XS Series Natural wireless mouse
What Stands Out?
A 57-degree handshake grip: No matter how many mice you might have used in your day, nothing will prepare you for this kind of grip. A grip that is so familiar, yet so different. The pronation relief from this grip just makes you question decades of mouse manufacturing. “Why did no one think of it from the beginning?” is what you start asking yourself and random Redditors.
Wrist fatigue is the silent enemy, really. You do not realise this, but before you know it, what seems to be “just a small break from using the mouse” turns into a whole hour of coffee and chit-chat. Circling back to the point, this ergonomic design is just too good.
Working on software like Adobe Premiere and Photoshop is suddenly less of a task. The XS Natural does not take care of the sudden crashes, but it does manage to offer some relief to the wrist.
Now this might not be an original design from Amkette, per se, but the fact that they did create something like the XS Natural, and offer it at a price point of Rs 1,599, is great for one of the world’s largest PC using population.
The War On Office Noise: an Industry-wide Trend
Where budget mice typically reveal their true colours is in the click feel and the build quality. Usually, cheap mice use loud, metallic clickers that ring out across a quiet office room.
Amkette bypassed this entirely by deploying silent Huano and Kailh switches across the lineup. When you click the buttons on the XS Flow or Natural, there is no high-pitched snap. Instead, you get a muted, satisfying tactile thud.
They are rated for up to 5 to 10 million clicks, meaning they are built to survive years of relentless double-clicking.
Furthermore, if you step up to the Plus variants, you get features that completely blur the line between budget and premium tier:
The Device Switching Feature

For power users, a mouse is rarely tied to just one machine anymore. You might have a corporate Windows laptop for work, an M-series Mac Mini for creative projects, and an iPad on the side for notes.
The XS Series addresses this through a robust multi-device matrix. A single button on the base allows you to cycle through an ecosystem of connected machines instantly.
The 2.4GHz USB Nano Receiver handles your primary machine with low latency, while separate Bluetooth channels allow you to hook into your secondary laptops or tablets without needing extra dongles.
The Plus versions even introduce a true 1000Hz polling rate via both 2.4GHz and wired Type-C modes, delivering the kind of instantaneous, jitter-free cursor tracking typically reserved for high-end gaming setups.
The Burning Question: Do You Really Need to Spend Over Rs 5,000?
The short answer is - not anymore.
That said, you might want to stick around for the long answer. There is no denying that these mice resemble higher-tier products such as the Logitech MX Master series mice and the Ergo Series Lift mice. Those mice cost Rs 15,995 and Rs 6,995, respectively, while the XS series offers a similar form factor at a fraction of the cost.

The MX Master 4
In case you’re curious, they are also already widely popular among consumers, both gamers and non-gamers. Having reviewed the MX Master 4 recently, I can clearly tell that there is a visible gap in quality, be it the keys, the tactility, the feedback on those keys, and the overall build. However, having also used the XS series for over 6 months now, I can confidently say that the deviation from that kind of quality is not a deal-breaker because, at the end of the day, if my mouse is enabling me to accomplish my tasks without any friction, I see no reason to frown upon a series like the Amkette XS.

But for the vast majority of software developers, content creators, financial analysts, and remote professionals, the Amkette XS Series proves that the premium office mouse market has matured.
That said, if superior quality is an absolute must for you as a user instead of affordability and function, the XS Flow and Natural wireless mice might not be the right ones for you.
Verdict: Should You Buy The Amkette XS Series Wireless Mice?

By stripping away the high branding markups and focusing squarely on what matters - silent operations, physical ergonomics, native horizontal scrolling, and rechargeable multi-device connectivity - these mice deliver a top-tier desk experience for a fraction of the cost. The value-for-money angle that Amkette aimed for has hit the bull's eye and then some more. At Rs 1,599 and Rs 1,799 for the XS Natural and XS Flow, respectively, just go for it if you value function and affordability more than how smooth and shiny your mouse's buttons are.
PS - If your day is defined by timelines, wide sheets, and constant device switching, the XS Flow is a highly efficient tool. If you are fighting wrist fatigue and want to correct your forearm posture before it turns into chronic pain, the XS Natural is a better fit.
