Maharashtra Tourism partners with 17th edition of WOW Awards Asia
Maharashtra Tourism participated as the Presenting Partner at the 17th edition of WOW Awards Asia, held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, where it showcased the state's tourism offerings through a dedicated pavilion.The pavilion was designed to promote Maharashtra's tourism destinations, MICE capabilities, destination wedding venues and experiential travel offerings. The showcase featured the Maharashtra Convention Bureau, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, coastal tourism, wildlife attractions and adventure tourism experiences.
The event brought together more than 6,000 delegates from over 25 countries, including representatives from tourism boards, hospitality companies, event management firms, destination specialists and marketing organisations. It served as a platform for discussions, networking and business engagement across tourism, hospitality, events and related sectors.
Shambhuraj Desai, Minister of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, said, “Maharashtra is committed to becoming one of India's leading destinations for tourism, business events and destination weddings. Our association with WOW Awards Asia has provided an excellent platform to showcase the state's strengths to a global audience while creating new opportunities for collaboration, investment and tourism growth.”
The two-day convention featured keynote sessions, panel discussions, masterclasses and networking forums. WOW Awards Asia also recognised excellence across 106 award categories and hosted the WOW Expo, bringing together tourism, hospitality and event industry stakeholders.
