Beach Kabaddi Court Measurements

Beach kabaddi is a popular variation of traditional kabaddi played on sandy surfaces along coastal areas of India. The court measurements for beach kabaddi differ significantly from the standard indoor version to accommodate the unique playing conditions.

The beach kabaddi court measures 13 meters in length and 10 meters in width for men\“s competitions. For women\“s matches, the court dimensions are slightly smaller at 12 meters in length and 8 meters in width. The playing area is divided into two halves by a center line, with each half measuring 6.5 meters for men and 6 meters for women.

Boundary lines are marked clearly using ropes or colored tapes that contrast with the sand surface. The court includes a baulk line drawn 3.75 meters from the center line on each side, which serves as an important marker during raids. Additionally, a bonus line is marked 1 meter from the baulk line toward the end line.

Unlike indoor kabaddi courts, beach kabaddi courts don\“t have specific sitting blocks for defenders, as players typically sit directly on the sand. The entire playing surface must be level and free from any hazardous objects, with the sand depth maintained consistently throughout the court area.
