State-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) has rolled out a Diwali special plan offering new users one month of 4G services for a token amount of Rs 1. The festive offer is valid from 15 October to 15 November 2025, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
As part of its festive celebrations, BSNL said it would offer 4G mobile services to new users for a nominal charge of Rs 1 for one month. The company added that the Diwali Bonanza plan would remain open between 15 October and 15 November 2025.
Under the limited-period scheme, new customers will receive unlimited voice calls, 2GB of high-speed data per day, 100 SMS daily, and a free SIM card.
The offer follows a similar promotional initiative started in August 2025, which significantly boosted BSNL’s mobile user base. The company added over 1.38 lakh new subscribers that month, surpassing Airtel to secure the second position in new customer additions.
Calling it the ‘Diwali Bonanza Plan’, BSNL Chairman and Managing Director A. Robert J. Ravi said the initiative allows users to experience BSNL’s indigenously developed 4G network at no cost for the first 30 days. He further added that the company expected the quality, coverage, and reliability of its 4G network to encourage customers to continue using its services beyond the complimentary period.
