Baccarat is a popular card game played in casinos worldwide. The game involves comparing cards between two hands: the Player and the Banker. The objective is to bet on which hand will have a total value closest to 9.
Each card in Baccarat has a point value: Aces are worth 1 point, cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value, and 10s and face cards （Jack, Queen, King） are worth 0 points. If the total value of a hand exceeds 9, only the last digit of the total is considered. For example, a hand totaling 15 is worth 5 points. 
The game begins with players placing bets on either the Player hand, the Banker hand, or a Tie. Two cards are dealt to both the Player and the Banker. Based on the initial totals, a third card may be drawn for either hand according to fixed rules. The hand with a total closest to 9 wins.
Betting on the Player hand pays 1:1. Betting on the Banker hand also pays 1:1, but a 5% commission is usually charged on winning Banker bets. Betting on a Tie typically pays 8:1 or 9:1. |
