5 rules of kabaddi

Kabaddi is a traditional Indian sport that has gained international recognition. Here are the 5 fundamental rules of this exciting game:

1. The raider must enter the opponent\“s court chanting \“kabaddi\“ continuously without taking a breath. This is known as the \“cant\“ rule and is essential for a valid raid.

2. Each team consists of 7 players on the court at a time. The game is played between two teams who take turns sending raiders into the opponent\“s half.

3. A raider scores points by touching opposing players and returning to their half, while defenders try to stop the raider from returning.

4. If a raider is stopped by defenders and cannot return to their half, the defending team scores a point and the raider is declared \“out\“.

5. The game is played in two halves of 20 minutes each, with a 5-minute break in between. The team with the most points at the end wins.
