The Union Budget 2026-27 has announced the launch of Bharat-VISTAAR, a multilingual artificial intelligence-based advisory platform aimed at improving farm productivity and reducing risks for farmers. Bharat-VISTAAR will integrate AgriStack portals with the agricultural practices package of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. The platform will use AI systems to analyse farmer records, crop data and scientific advisories to provide customised recommendations. According to the finance minister, this integration will help farmers take informed decisions, optimise inputs and manage risks more effectively.

A key feature of Bharat-VISTAAR is its multilingual design, enabling delivery of advisories in local languages.
