A literary gathering centred on values, legacy and lived experiences will take place in New Delhi as author Ravi Prakash Jaiswal launches his latest book, Dohrighat to Delhi, at the India International Centre (IIC) on June 27.
Titled "A Journey of Values, Life & Legacy," the event is designed as more than a conventional book launch, bringing together members of the literary fraternity, academicians, readers, family and invited guests for an evening of conversations around personal journeys, ethics, leadership and the enduring influence of family values.
The book traces Jaiswal's journey from the town of Dohrighat to the national capital, exploring how perseverance, integrity and inherited values have shaped his personal and professional life. Rather than focusing solely on milestones and achievements, the memoir reflects on the role of character, resilience and intergenerational wisdom in defining success.
The launch programme will feature an introduction by the author, followed by a panel discussion examining themes of values, leadership and legacy before the formal unveiling of the book. The evening will conclude with the author's closing remarks, a vote of thanks and a networking dinner.
Positioned as an experiential literary gathering, the event aims to encourage dialogue around the relevance of traditional values in contemporary society while celebrating storytelling as a means of preserving personal and collective histories.
The programme is scheduled to begin with registration and high tea, followed by the welcome address and author interaction. A panel discussion will lead into the official book launch ceremony, creating opportunities for attendees to engage with the ideas explored in the memoir beyond the printed page.
At the heart of Dohrighat to Delhi is the belief that life's most meaningful journeys are measured not only by the places one reaches but by the values carried along the way. Through personal reflections and life lessons, the book seeks to highlight the importance of family, humility and purpose in shaping individual legacies.
The launch will take place at Conference Room No. 1, India International Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi, with the event open to members of the literary community, students, academicians, media representatives and readers interested in conversations around personal growth, values and leadership. |
