Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (DFPCL) has appointed Naresh Kumar Puritipati as President – Human Resources, strengthening its leadership team with an HR professional who brings more than three decades of experience across the FMCG, dairy, retail, manufacturing and beverage sectors.
In his new role, Puritipati will lead the company's people strategy, focusing on talent development, organisational culture, leadership capability and workforce transformation to support Deepak Fertilisers' long-term business growth.
Before joining DFPCL, Puritipati served as Director – Human Resources at Lactalis India, where he led the people agenda across the group's India operations, including Tirumala Milk Products, Anik Industries and Prabhat Dairy. His responsibilities included HR strategy, leadership development, employee engagement, organisational transformation and talent management.
Earlier, he was Chief Human Resources Officer at Spencer's Retail, where he oversaw enterprise-wide HR initiatives spanning talent acquisition, capability development, employee engagement and people strategy.
A significant part of his career was spent with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) and The Coca-Cola Company, where he worked for nearly two decades across India and Southeast Asia. Joining HCCB in 2000 as Factory HR Manager, he progressed through several leadership roles, including Zonal HR Head, before taking international assignments as HR Lead at Coca-Cola Bottler Malaysia and Country HR Director for Myanmar.
He later returned to HCCB as National Head – Organisation Development & Cadre Building before becoming HR Head – Integrated Supply Chain. In that role, he led the HR function for approximately 4,500 permanent employees and more than 5,000 contingent workers across 18 manufacturing plants, distribution centres, logistics operations and corporate supply chain functions.
Puritipati began his career in 1995 as Personnel and Administration Officer at Avanti Kopp Electricals before joining Heritage Foods as Senior Executive – HR & Administration.
Over the course of his career, he has developed expertise in strategic HR, organisational development, talent management, leadership development, business partnering, employee engagement, performance management, workforce productivity and large-scale HR transformation.
He holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management and a PhD in Human Resource Management from Andhra University.
