Shares of Radico Khaitan surged more than 5 per cent on Monday to cross the Rs 4,000 mark for the first time, after the company reported strong quarterly sales for its flagship vodka brand, Magic Moments.
The stock closed with 5.5 per cent gain to a record high of Rs 4,106 on the NSE.
The rally extended the stock’s recent momentum, with Radico Khaitan advancing in seven of the past eight trading sessions.
On Sunday, the company said Magic Moments sold 3.25 million cases during the first quarter of FY27, marking a 43 per cent increase from 2.27 million cases sold in the corresponding period last year.
Radico Khaitan said the performance reinforces Magic Moments’ position as India’s largest vodka brand and highlights the growing scale and long-term potential of the domestic vodka market.
According to the company, Magic Moments commands an estimated 60 per cent share of the Indian vodka market. It also noted that flavoured vodka has emerged as one of the fastest-growing segments, accounting for more than 65 per cent of total vodka volumes in FY26 as product innovation continues to attract new consumers.
Despite the category’s growth, vodka accounted for less than 5 per cent of India’s Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) market in FY26, compared with around 28 to 30 per cent of global spirits consumption, indicating significant long-term growth potential.
Managing Director Abhishek Khaitan said the company has successfully combined global vodka trends with Indian consumer preferences to develop products that resonate strongly with customers.
“While India remains significantly underpenetrated compared to global vodka markets, this also presents a substantial long-term opportunity for the category,” he said.
According to Bloomberg data, 25 analysts currently cover the stock. Of these, 21 have a ‘Buy’ rating, three recommend ‘Hold’, while one has a ‘Sell’ rating.
Shares of Radico Khaitan have gained nearly 17 per cent over the past month, taking their year-to-date advance to around 25 per cent. |
