The Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India) (HRAWI) organised the Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) programme at The Grand Bhagwati in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on 8 July 2026. The training programme saw participation from 21 hospitality professionals and was conducted by Praveen Andrews. Sessions focused on food handling, hygiene, sanitation and waste management, while also covering food safety practices relevant to hospitality operations.
According to HRAWI, the programme was designed to strengthen awareness of food safety standards and provide participants with practical knowledge to support compliance and operational requirements within the industry. The association stated that it has trained and certified 3,891 hospitality professionals through FoSTaC and the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India's (FSSAI) Management Training Programme. These initiatives aim to support the adoption of food safety practices and operational standards across hotels and restaurants.
