GP Petroleums Ltd said its joint venture company, Amron Oil Resources Pvt Ltd, has been selected by Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) as the operating partner for IOCL's bitumen cell at Pipavav in Gujarat.
Amron Oil Resources is a 50:50 joint venture between GP Petroleums and West Coast Oils LLP. The company manufactures speciality bitumen products, including bitumen emulsions, polymer modified bitumen (PMB) and crumb rubber modified bitumen (CRMB), which are used in road construction.
Bulk bitumen dispatches from the Pipavav facility commenced on June 4, 2026. The facility was inaugurated as part of IndianOil's SPRINT 2026 Mission Excellence initiative.
According to GP Petroleums, the Pipavav bitumen cell is expected to improve the supply of speciality bitumen products across Gujarat and neighbouring regions. Its location near Pipavav port is also expected to enhance logistics efficiency for infrastructure projects.
The selection of Amron Oil Resources as the operating partner expands GP Petroleums' presence in the speciality bitumen segment and strengthens its participation in India's road and transport infrastructure sector.u |
