Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Friday (July 24, 2026) that Iran would hold accountable any country assisting the United States in an attack on the Islamic republic.
“Any participation, cooperation or assistance in committing aggression against Iran will create international responsibility for the relevant parties,” Mr. Araghchi said at a meeting in Kyrgyzstan, adding that Iran “reserves its right to take all necessary measures within the framework of self-defence”.

Meanwhile, Bahrain’s Interior Ministry said sirens sounded across the country on Friday, as a media correspondent reported hearing an explosion amid renewed U.S.-Iran hostilities that have triggered near-daily Iranian attacks on the island kingdom.
The Houthis threatened to shut down another key trade route, with the world economy already reeling from Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Iran and the U.S. have stepped up attacks as they vie for control of the strait, through which a fifth of the world’s oil and gas transited in peacetime, setting off a scramble for alternative routes.
