Asus Rog has presented its new handheld gaming devices, the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, to the Indian market. The devices are available for pre-order until late evening on 16 October 2025, with retail availability scheduled to begin the same day. The ROG Xbox Ally is priced at Rs 69,990, while the higher-end ROG Xbox Ally X is listed at Rs 1,14,990.
Both models are built around AMD’s latest Ryzen Z2 processors. The ROG Xbox Ally X features the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, an 80Wh battery, and a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU) for AI-based performance optimisation. The ROG Xbox Ally is equipped with the AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor and a 60Wh battery. Each device supports Radeon’s gaming technologies, including FSR, RSR and AFMF, and runs on Windows 11, enabling compatibility with both PC and Xbox titles.
Pre-orders are available through Asus Rog Exclusive Stores, Asus Eshop, Amazon, Vijay Sales and authorised Asus partners. Customers who pre-order the ROG Xbox Ally X can redeem benefits worth up to Rs 16,947 for Rs 499, while those opting for the ROG Xbox Ally can access similar offers for Rs 1,499. These include a one-year Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and a ROG Slash Sling Bag. Redemption requires users to generate a coupon code via the Asus website and claim benefits within 20 days of product delivery.

Both devices feature a 7-inch Full HD IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The design incorporates ergonomic elements inspired by the Xbox Wireless Controller, including contoured grips, Hall Effect analog triggers, assignable buttons and HD haptics. Connectivity options include WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, with multiple USB ports and microSD card readers.
The ROG Xbox Ally X offers 24GB LPDDR5X memory and 1TB SSD storage, while the ROG Xbox Ally includes 16GB LPDDR5X memory and 512GB SSD. Both models measure 290.8 x 121.5 x 50.7mm, with the Ally X weighing 715g and the Ally weighing 670g. Each device comes with a 65W charger and stand.
Asus stated that the new handhelds are designed to offer console-grade performance in a portable form factor, with support for AI-enhanced gaming and seamless integration across platforms. The release marks the brand’s continued expansion into the handheld gaming segment in India. |
