Oswal Pumps has secured an additional order worth approximately Rs 235.92 crore from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) under the PM Kusum B Scheme, further strengthening its presence in the country’s solar irrigation segment.
In a stock exchange filing on Saturday, the company said it had received a contract for the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 10,000 off-grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) across Maharashtra.
The order, valued at around Rs 235.92 crore, including GST, is scheduled to be executed within 60 days from the issuance of the notice to proceed or work order.
The project involves the installation of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP solar water pumping systems at identified farmers’ locations under the PM Kusum B Scheme’s Magel Tyala Saur Krishi Pump Yojana.
Apart from installation, the scope of work includes a five-year comprehensive warranty, repair and maintenance services, as well as the deployment of a remote monitoring system (RMS).
Commenting on the development, Chairman and Managing Director Vivek Gupta said the repeat order reflects the strong relationship the company has built with MSEDCL in supporting Maharashtra’s solar irrigation programme.
“We are delighted to receive this additional order for 10,000 solar pumps, which reflects the strong and enduring partnership we have built with MSEDCL driving Maharashtra’s solar irrigation mission,” Gupta said.
He added that the repeat mandate underscores customers’ confidence in the company’s execution capabilities, timely deliveries and quality standards, while further expanding its order book under various solar pumping schemes.
According to Gupta, the latest contract reinforces Oswal Pumps’ position as one of India’s leading providers of large-scale solar water pumping solutions.
Shares of Oswal Pumps ended Friday’s session 1.78 per cent lower at Rs 410.50, ahead of the order announcement. The stock has declined around 22 per cent so far in 2026 and is down 41 per cent over the past 12 months.
