Mahindra Group has appointed Amarjyoti Barua as its Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective  17 May , as part of a series of leadership changes across its businesses.
Barua will succeed Manoj Bhatt, who has been named Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India (MHRIL). Bhatt will replace Kavinder Singh, whose resignation has led to the leadership transition at the hospitality company.
Barua currently serves as Executive Vice President for Group Strategy. He joined the Mahindra Group in May last year after spending more than six years at Baker Hughes.
Announcing the appointments, the company said both Barua's elevation as Group CFO and Bhatt's appointment as MHRIL's MD and CEO will take effect from 17 May.
The reshuffle also includes changes in the finance leadership of other group companies. Vimal Agarwal, currently CFO of Mahindra Lifespaces Developers (MLDL), has been appointed CFO of MHRIL. Avinash Bapat will succeed Agarwal as CFO of MLDL.
In a statement, Mahindra Group CEO and Managing Director Anish Shah said the group's leadership development initiatives have enabled it to prepare executives for roles across different businesses.
Bhatt has previously held roles at Mahindra & Mahindra  and Tech Mahindra, according to the company.
The appointments are part of a broader management reshuffle within the Mahindra Group following the leadership change at Mahindra Holidays.
