The Kitchen by Chef Deepa has introduced a new breakfast menu in Chennai, bringing a selection of traditional Amritsari and Punjabi breakfast dishes to diners in the city. Curated by Chef Deepa Arora, the menu draws on recipes inspired by her upbringing in Amritsar and focuses on authentic, homestyle flavours.
The breakfast offering includes Aloo Paratha, Paneer Paratha, Mooli Paratha, Aloo Gobi Paratha, Kulcha, Aloo Kulcha, Paneer Kulcha, Puri with Aloo Loungi and Chole Bhature. Guests can choose from both tandoor-baked and tawa-cooked preparations. The beverage menu features Punjabi Sweet Lassi, Masala Chaach, Amritsari Shikanjeevi, Thandai and Rose Milk. Desserts include Saffron Suji Halwa, Lahori Phirnee and Jamun Rabri.
Speaking on the launch, Chef Deepa Arora said, “Breakfast in Punjab is more than just the first meal of the day, it's a celebration of flavour, warmth, and togetherness. Every dish on this menu has been inspired by recipes I grew up with in Amritsar, and my aim is to bring that same sense of comfort and authenticity to Chennai.”
The breakfast menu is available through The Kitchen by Chef Deepa's cloud kitchen in Tharamani and can also be ordered via food delivery platforms Swiggy and Zomato. |
