Kabaddi is a traditional Indian sport that has gained international recognition. The game is played between two teams of seven players each, with the objective being to score points by raiding the opponent\“s court and touching as many defenders as possible without being caught.

The basic rules require the raider to enter the opponent\“s half while continuously chanting \“kabaddi\“ without taking a breath. If the raider successfully touches one or more defenders and returns to their half, points are awarded. Defenders must work together to stop the raider from returning to their side.

Each match consists of two halves of 20 minutes each, with a five-minute break in between. Teams earn points for every opponent they successfully tackle or when the opposing team commits a foul. The team with the most points at the end of the match wins.

Kabaddi requires minimal equipment - just a playing field and comfortable clothing. The sport emphasizes physical strength, agility, breath control, and strategic teamwork. It has evolved from a rural pastime to a professional sport with organized leagues and international competitions.
