Kabaddi is a traditional Indian sport that requires minimal equipment but has specific player requirements. In standard kabaddi matches, each team consists of 7 players on the court at any given time. These players are divided into raiders and defenders, with each player having specialized roles and responsibilities.
The raider\“s main objective is to enter the opponent\“s court, tag as many defenders as possible, and return to their own half while chanting \“kabaddi\“ continuously. Defenders work together to stop the raider from returning to their side by tackling and holding them. Teams also have substitute players who can be rotated during the game.
Traditional kabaddi equipment includes comfortable cotton clothing, usually shorts and t-shirts, along with bare feet. However, modern professional kabaddi leagues have introduced knee pads, elbow guards, and proper sports shoes for player safety.
