Another popular product is the Indian Salmon （Rawas）, prized for its firm texture and mild taste, commonly used in curries and grilled dishes. Pomfret （Paplet）, both black and white varieties, is a delicacy often prepared fried or steamed. Additionally, India is a major producer of shrimp, particularly the Black Tiger Shrimp, exported globally. These local products, harvested from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, support livelihoods and are integral to Indian cuisine, much like the Grand Bank supports fisheries in the North Atlantic. |
