The Hero Indian Super League 2021 featured an exciting lineup of teams competing in India\“s premier football tournament. The league showcased top domestic and international talent across various franchises representing different regions of India.
ATK Mohun Bagan emerged as one of the strongest contenders, combining the legacy of two historic clubs. Mumbai City FC, backed by City Football Group, demonstrated impressive performance throughout the season. Other prominent teams included FC Goa, known for their attractive attacking football, and Bengaluru FC, with their strong fan base and consistent performances.
Chennaiyin FC, Kerala Blasters FC, Hyderabad FC, Jamshedpur FC, NorthEast United FC, and Odisha FC completed the roster of ten teams competing in the 2021 season. Each team brought unique playing styles and strategies to the tournament, making it one of the most competitive seasons in ISL history.
The league format followed a round-robin system where each team played against every other team twice during the league stage. The top four teams then advanced to the playoffs, culminating in an exciting final match to determine the champion of Hero Indian Super League 2021. |
