Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday issued a strong message on the Delhi blast investigation, declaring that those behind the attack would be traced and punished with utmost severity. Speaking at the 32nd meeting of the Northern Zonal Council (NZC), he reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to countering terrorism in all forms.

‘Culprits Will Be Found Even From Patal’
Referring to the government’s resolve, Shah said the track record of the Modi administration reflects its unwavering stance against terrorism. “He said in line with the track record of the Modi government so far, the culprits of the Delhi bomb blast will be traced even from ‘Patal’, brought before the country’s judicial system, and given the strictest possible punishment.”
At the beginning of the meeting, a two-minute silence was observed for those killed in the car bomb blast near Red Fort and the explosion at Nowgam Police Station in Jammu and Kashmir.
Focus on Coordination and Women’s Safety
Shah emphasised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s belief that strong states build a strong nation, noting that zonal councils help advance cooperation and “policy synergy” among states. “Zonal Councils are extremely important for dialogue, cooperation, coordination, and ‘policy synergy’. Many types of problems have been resolved through these councils,” he said.

He highlighted the need to eliminate long-standing challenges such as delayed justice in crimes against women and children, malnutrition, and stunting. Stressing faster investigations in POCSO and rape cases, Shah stated that no civilised society can tolerate heinous crimes against women and children. He added that the government’s top priority is ensuring the safety of women and children and called for increasing the number of Fast Track Special Courts (FTSC).
