The Government of Maharashtra has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Technologies to establish a Centre for Innovation, Invention, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) at Ramtek in Nagpur district.
The project, valued at Rs 115 crore, will see Rs 98 crore invested by Tata Technologies, and aims to train 3,000 students every year in advanced technological skills. The facility will feature nine specialised training streams, spanning innovation, design, incubation, and advanced manufacturing, strengthening the state’s skilling ecosystem.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who presided over the MoU exchange, said the centre would bridge rural talent with global technology, nurturing entrepreneurship and empowering industries with a skilled workforce.
Tata Technologies has already set up similar centres in Gadchiroli and Chandrapur, and the Ramtek hub is expected to boost industrial growth while building manpower for India’s future manufacturing sector.
Minister of State Adv Ashish Jaiswal and other dignitaries were present at the signing ceremony.
