ACME Solar Holdings has appointed KR Thiyagarajan as its President, EPC. In this role he will oversee all renewable-energy project execution, with responsibilities including cost optimisation, technology integration and ensuring delivery excellence. The company has set a target of achieving 10 gigawatts of contracted operational capacity by 2030.
Thiyagarajan brings more than 35 years of experience in the power sector. His background spans solar PV, battery energy storage systems, high-voltage transmission and distribution, and thermal power. Over his career, he has led large-scale renewable energy developments from initial concept through commissioning and successfully delivered multi-gigawatt portfolios across India.
Before joining ACME Solar, Thiyagarajan held senior leadership roles at several leading companies in the energy space, including Reliance Industries (New Energy), Tata Power Solar, Avaada Power and Welspun Energy. His strengths include project and contract management, techno-commercial planning, bid and tender handling, compliance, stakeholder engagement and building high-performance teams.
Under his leadership, ACME Solar aims to accelerate project execution, optimise costs and integrate advanced technologies as the company pushes toward its 10 gigawatt goal. The appointment underscores ACME Solar’s focus on strengthening its execution capabilities at a time when demand for renewable energy remains high. |
