Our producers and directors don’t hesitate to pay crores if a technician or actor proves their excellence elsewhere.
Over the years, stalwarts like AR Rahman, Anirudh Ravichander, and several top cinematographers from Kollywood have been brought on board for major Telugu projects, often with hefty remuneration. This tradition has continued for decades.
Now, cinematographer Arvind Kashyap — who impressed audiences and critics alike with his stunning camera work in the recently released Kantara: Chapter 1 — is in high demand.
Several Telugu production houses and directors have reportedly reached out to him to explore collaboration opportunities.
There are also reports that director Gopichand Malineni has moved quickly to sign him. He is said to have offered Arvind Kashyap a substantial amount to come on board.
Malineni’s next film is with Nandamuri Balakrishna, and the genre is reportedly a historical drama. Since Balakrishna will be portraying a king, Arvind Kashyap’s visual style is believed to be a perfect fit.
We have to see whether Arvind Kashyap says yes to this Telugu film.
