 The lawns of India Gate turned into a vibrant celebration of Indian craftsmanship and culture as the Government of Delhi inaugurated the much-awaited Swadeshi Utsav 2025. Organized by the Department of Industries, GNCTD and DSIIDC, the three-day festival celebrates the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Vocal for Local, bringing together artisans, entrepreneurs, and innovators from across Delhi.
Taking center stage as Sutradhaar of the inaugural function, Anchor Swati Sharma Singh guided the proceedings with her signature elegance and engaging presence. Her effortless blend of professionalism and warmth added a personal touch to the ceremony, creating an atmosphere that reflected both pride and celebration.
The event was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta, Hon’ble Minister of Industries Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) Sh. Bipul Pathak, Managing Director, DSIIDC Mrs. Nazuk Kumar, and Executive Director, DSIIDC Sh. Praveer Kumar Singh.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a moving Swagat Gaan performed by visually impaired children from The Blind Relief Association. Swati’s seamless narration carried the audience through every moment , from welcoming the dignitaries to introducing the key addresses by the Chief Minister and Minister of Industries.
 Her poised anchoring continued as the dignitaries walked through more than 100 stalls featuring MSMEs, artisans, women entrepreneurs, and ODOP exporters, all showcasing 100% Shudh Swadeshi creations. The event also included food stalls, cultural performances, and discussions promoting local innovation and craftsmanship.
As the face and voice of the opening ceremony, Swati Sharma Singh embodied the essence of the occasion , connecting tradition with modernity, and people with purpose. Her role as Sutradhaar reflected the same spirit that defines Swadeshi Utsav 2025: confidence, creativity, and cultural pride. |
