പോർബന്തർ∙ ഗുജറാത്ത് തീരത്ത് കപ്പലിന് തീപിടിച്ചു. സൊമാലിയയിലേക്ക് അരിയും പഞ്ചസാരയുമായി പോവുകയായിരുന്ന കപ്പലിനാണ് പോർബന്തറിലെ സുഭാഷ് നഗർ ജെട്ടിയിൽ വച്ച് തീപിടിച്ചത്. കപ്പലിലെ ആളുകൾ സുരക്ഷിതരാണ്. തീ അണയ്ക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമം തുടരുന്നു.
ഇന്നു രാവിലെയാണ് ജാംനഗർ ആസ്ഥാനമായ കപ്പൽ കമ്പനിയുടെ കപ്പലിനു തീ പിടിച്ചത്. 950 ടൺ അരിയും 100 ടൺ പഞ്ചസാരയും കപ്പലിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. തീപിടിച്ചതോടെ കപ്പൽ ഉൾക്കടലിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി. എൻജിൻ റൂമിന്റെ ഭാഗത്താണ് ആദ്യം തീ കണ്ടത്. കറുത്ത പുക പ്രദേശത്താകെ നിറഞ്ഞു. ഇന്ത്യൻ കോസ്റ്റ് ഗാർഡും ഫയർഫോഴ്സും തുറമുഖ അധികൃതരും സംയുക്തമായാണ് രക്ഷാപ്രവർത്തനം നടത്തുന്നത്.
