Kabaddi is a traditional Indian sport that combines elements of wrestling and tag. The game is played between two teams of seven players each, on a rectangular court divided into two halves.

The basic objective of kabaddi is for a single player, called the raider, to enter the opposing team\“s half, tag as many defenders as possible, and return to their own half without being tackled. The raider must continuously chant kabaddi, kabaddi while in the opponent\“s territory without taking a breath.

Points are scored by the raider by touching opponents or when defenders commit fouls. The defending team scores points by successfully preventing the raider from returning to their side. Each team takes turns sending raiders, and the game consists of two 20-minute halves with a 5-minute break.

Key rules include: the raider must cross the bonus line to earn extra points, defenders cannot cross the center line, and players are declared out when touched or tackled. The team with the most points at the end wins the match.
