Sobhita, who recently married actor Naga Chaitanya, has been keeping a low profile.
With no new project announcements, many assumed she had stepped away from the spotlight to focus on married life. There were even rumors of her pregnancy. However, none of these speculations are true.
She intends to continue acting but is not keen on signing too many projects at once.
According to Tamil media reports, Sobhita has agreed to feature in acclaimed filmmaker Pa. Ranjith’s upcoming project.
The director is best known for Kabali. This will be her first film since her wedding in December 2024 and also marks her Tamil debut in a full-fledged role.
Although she played an important character in Mani Ratnam’s blockbuster franchise Ponniyin Selvan, the new Pa. Ranjith film will be her first outing as a solo lead.
