TARAksh Lawyers and Consultants has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Pilani Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Society (PIEDS), BITS Pilani, to provide legal support to technology startups incubated at PIEDS across incorporation, ESOPs, intellectual property, fundraising, compliance, and cross-border structuring, with a focus on India-UAE transactions and other international jurisdictions.
Pilani Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Society (PIEDS) is the technology business incubator at BITS Pilani.
TARAksh Lawyers and Consultants is a corporate law firm with offices in GIFT City, Mumbai, Pune, and Ahmedabad, and an international presence in the UAE through its affiliate, TARAksh Legal Consultants FZ-LLC.
Under the MoU, TARAksh will provide legal support to PIEDS-incubated startups across incorporation and founder arrangements, employee stock option plans, commercial contracts, intellectual property, employment, data protection, fundraising, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution. The firm will also advise on India, UAE, Norway, and broader cross-border structuring and international expansion an area of increasing relevance as technology startups from leading academic incubators pursue growth across multiple jurisdictions from early in their lifecycle.
Beyond advisory and transactional support, TARAksh will participate in seminars, bootcamps, legal clinics, and knowledge sessions organised by PIEDS, with the aim of building legal awareness and commercial grounding among founders at the earliest stages of their journey.
