തലശ്ശേരി ∙ തിരുവങ്ങാട് ഇല്ലത്ത്താഴയിൽ വീട്ടുമുറ്റത്ത് പൈപ്പിനുള്ളിൽ കുടുങ്ങിയ പെരുമ്പാമ്പിനെ സാഹസികമായി രക്ഷിച്ചു. ഇല്ലത്ത് താഴെ കനാൽ പരിസരത്ത് ദേവി കൃപയിൽ പ്രേമന്റെ വീടിന് പിന്നിൽ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടിരുന്ന പിവിസി പൈപ്പിലാണ് തിങ്കളാഴ്ച വൈകിട്ട് പാമ്പ് കയറിയത്. പ്രേമന്റെ ഭാര്യ സിന്ധു ആണ് പാമ്പിനെ കണ്ടത്. ചലിക്കാൻ കഴിയാതെ കിടക്കുന്ന പാമ്പിനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ സർപ്പ വൊളന്റിയർ ബിജിലേഷ് കോടിയേരിയെ വിവരം അറിയിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ബിജിലേഷ് എത്തി പൈപ്പ് മുറിച്ച് മാറ്റി പാമ്പിനെ രക്ഷിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് പാമ്പിനെ വനത്തിനടുത്ത് തുറന്നു വിട്ടു.
